Doesn't the raptor R use the same engine but detuned?

I like to disassemble things.
I sent Steve a note commending him on the article. He didn't know it had been posted yet. Great look inside!

Yes it has been moved to DAP and is named differently as well. The name for the Raptor is
the 700-horsepower, 5.2-liter Carnivore engine that powers the vaunted Ford F-150 Raptor R pickup. This engine is essentially an evolution of the Predator with a unique supercharger assembly.

Really cool that all the builders signed the last one off the line.

Shipped over to Wisconsin. Cannot confirm nor deny it staying in the badger state though.

Mine has been solid. All oil analysis has been spot on. The predator cpc is a superior engine.
Your builder is named and photo'd in that article :like:

Note this comment on the last three engines, one of which your guy built : "They would be constructed by the builders with the most seniority" :sunglasses:

The CPC is a better design. Although I like the FPC for its sound, it suffers from high vibration and some owners report of high oil consumption.

That track weekend you saw, the engine didn't use a drop of oil. What I like about it is that it doesn't shake itself to death like that voodoo.

Kevin (aka hineybadger) is converting to a cpc for a very good reason. As I said, IMHO, it's a superior engine regardless who built it.

I am interested in any leftover Romeo Signature plates from this run. If anyone has a lead please PM me
