If the F1’s work for you, that’s great. I’ve just had less than desirable results with the Goodyear’s that I’ve bought.
admittedly, I haven’t had GY tires since the days of the gator backs.

I didn't want to go down to the PS4S's; the Eagle's are in between those and the SC2's, very close to the SC2's. They are standard equipment on the SS 1LE and ZL1 FYI.

I drove Cup 2's in rain 3 times... (I live where it rains, not a lot, but still can get a lot of rain sometimes) and I must say that the experience was interesting
Switched to PS4S after that. Ride is different than the Cup's. If I knew that I will be working from home all this time, I would stay with Cup 2's.
But, overall I am happy how PS4S are performing in rain and dry conditions.

That difference is approaching 10%, so I wouldn't describe it as not that much when you're talking brake rotor surface area. And that's not total area, just radius delta between the two.

Not only that, but comparing to brand new in-stock unit is not a good comparison, because brand new pads have the slightest chamfer on the edges of the pad, preventing the pad from rubbing away all of the grey anti-corrosion coating that is on the edge and toward the hub of the OEM rotors, and having a swept area to be the same width as a unit that has some miles on it.

Both the extreme edges of the rotor, and the area of the rotor near the hub will need a few driving miles to scrub off, and that remaining area could easily add up to a few /16ths.

Not a fan of Goodyear either. Every time I went away from Michelin, no matter what I was driving, I regrtted it.

Sport Cup2s are so much fun to drive on, but not the best choice for the street IMO.
When I burn up the Cup2s, I'll do like most and get PS4S.

Pilot Sport 4S is the obvious choice IMHO, living in a 60+" rain/year place. When the Nitto's are ready Ill be swapping.

After 14K miles on 2 sets of Sport Cup 2's, I switched to the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3's, and they are AMAZING. IMO way better than the Cup 2's. Same lateral grip, way better grip in a straight line (I mean NIGHT AND DAY...for whatever reason, my 2 sets sucked in a straight line but yesterday did a good pull onto the highway and they just HOOK UP). But you get all that traction from the Eagle's but NO TRAMLINING and NO ROCKS. With the Cup 2's, you could hear it pick up rocks all the time....with the Eagle's NOTHING but then you have the insane grip, it just holds. Oh and they last longer and cost less, so after having the Eagle's so far, I will say the Cup 2's suck! The Eagle's do have a bit harsher of a ride but other than that, totally worth that tradeoff.

I did an H-pipe to mine and with the active exhaust I think it is the best sounding V8 out there aside from a flat-plane crank. Did the Steeda clutch spring for the pedal, and I'm liking that so far. Waiting on an MGW shifter as well because I can't stand the lockouts....right now, the drag strip is pointless. Locked out of 2nd...and then locked out of 3rd...what's the point!? But all in all, I chose the package because it would cost less than me doing all that stuff to the car anyway. Other than what I've done to the car, I think it is all-around a perfect car. I also came from a 2019 Camaro 2SS where I had the 1LE suspension and I never regretted trading it in for the 'Stang for 1 day since. But I could go on-and-on all day about that. I just think it is a better car, like it has a soul...

I have the Cooper RS3s All Weather - no issues, awesome tire.

I have not.

Honestly, I haven't had a need for HP tires for quite awhile. Just picked up the car last Nov. Still have the OE rubber.

Just put some Hankooks on the Wife's Fusion recently. Not sure the exact model, but an all season tire. They seem to perform well so far. Not as soft as the Michelins that they replaced, but they're comparable. Anxious to see if the 80K mileage warranty will hold up. The Michelins sure didn't.

Bridgestones seem to be priced higher than the PS4S when I shop for tires.

I have the Cooper RS3s as well. 305s on all 4. I don't think I'd want to track them but they're a great street tire.

I can afford them. They are not made for drag racing, but are a road course tire.

Based on what I've seen in all other forums, the SC3's last around 20K miles, which is at least double what the SC2's last. I suggest you do your own research on the SC3's as people really seem to like them over the SC2's.

I was only recounting my own personal experience with the PP2, and everyone has different opinions. I, for one, respect others' opinions instead of making fun of them and trying to put others down. I'm glad that you can afford the SC2's but I personally was not impressed with them and can't justify the cost when I did not like them. I guess next time I will just keep my own personal experience to myself even if the forum is asking for it...

I had Goodyear's on my 2019 Camaro SS, and they never leaked. Hard to imagine that a specific brand makes tires to leak air.

Not the R's. The R's are stickier than the SC2's. I mean they have a tread rating of 100, which is just legal. 180 for the SC2's. I've heard the R's only last 3k miles of street driving...

I REALLY loved the KDW2's but i've not used them since then.

I never tried the NT01’s as they are really a track specific tire. But, I ran NT05’s on my GTO and they were the most predictable tire I’ve ever owned. If they came in 305/30/19, they’d be on my Mustang today.

One of the fastest track guys I know personally liked the Goodyear S3 as well. Though I think he favored the BF Goodrich last year. I'm running RE71's and will either be going GY S3 or BFG later this year as I'm sure my RE71's will be done before the end of the season. Keep your opinions coming.

I've read several good reviews of them but never personally used them. Right now I'm sticking with 200TW tires. If you aren't competing in TT or competition and just want inexpensive track tires look at Pirelli take offs. One of the tracks I go to wasn't allowing slicks last year for regular track days. If that holds true going forward than NT01 might come back on my radar.

The beauty of both the 5.0 and the 5.2 is an AWESOME sound track from the rear pipes...!!!
