OP - Per Dave, can you hear the compressor cycling on and off?
If not, and if you've verified no leaks and good pressure, it could be ambient temps. What was the temp in Detroit (I see that's where you are)?
If it's too cold outside, compressor will not kick on. What have the temps been...
Thanks. Yes, you're echoing my broad stroke thoughts about what could be making some cars more grumpy.
I know PCV valves were discussed, but do you run a catch can? One thing I will say, I've run a catch can since new and pre-tune. Post-tune, I had to replace my FP catch can with a new UPR...
Can also chime in and add to others like geep81,
Dave2013M3, who have no issues with this tune. For a relatively mild calibration, it's been great for the past 3 years, in the full spectrum of ambient temps. Absolutely no regrets. Mostly use 91 and occasionally 93/94, (all always top tier) and...
To Cobra Jet 's point, does the afmkt company say anything about compatibility with OEM GT fender liners? You can't assume, but then again, experience and years in this space would tell one that.
If not, looks like a case of the afmkt company not paying attention to, and letting customers...
Is that your factory fender liner? If so, makes sense it would not line up, as the OEM Mach 1 front fascia only lines up to a bespoke Mach 1-specific fender liner.
Base vs PP1/PP2 vs Mach 1 vs GT350 vs GT500 all use different fender liners.
Based on your timeline of events, looks like you bought the Cali Special new? If so, I wonder if there was no friction modifier added to the differential gear oil (or not enough of it) from the factory fill.
Seems like a rare possibility, but especially with Ford, we all know anything can...
Not sure what temps have been in Denver lately, but obviously cool ambients and new tires that may still have the mold release coating on them due to still being new, don't equal good traction. However, your issue didn't sound like lack of traction, more an issue of it feeling unsettled and...
Congrats on the purchase! I saw your other thread on it. A lot of folks will rightly point to rear suspension sub-frame bushings and all the alignment kits and inserts you can buy from the aftermarket like Steeda etc., and that might do some good to clean up some of the slop these cars have...
OP - to expand on Evolvd's post - in some newer cars, especially late model Fords, there are battery management systems that monitor the state of battery charge, and when battery voltage drops below certain thresholds, electronic accessories will start to shut off/not function. They're not...
OP, Skye's post has a very good checklist, and I would reiterate the above - avoid, if it all possible, starting and running for a few minutes then shutting down.
It's become a misconception for whatever reason to do this, but it's not recommended, as this can do more harm than good. Car isn't...
Awesome, thanks for the info! I'm not sure if it's the same brand, but I saw an identical-looking unit on Amazon a while back, I added it my list for future buying - looks like I can use your post as confirmation it'll work decently :sunglasses:
Looks good man! Have you got any decent time on these yet to appreciate and/or note differences vs stock? (pre-bad ball joints obviously) Curious on the feedback, as I've not come across anyone who's stated anything detailed. Been wanting to do these also.
You're right, I forgot about that, lots of wheel options. Ford did great with the PP2 wheel design though.
Np, good luck. Sto N Sho updated their site recently, now we can see easier which submodel of Mustang to choose the right bracket.
Thank you sir. Yup, Sto N Sho, specifically for PP2. Ignore if you're already aware, but make sure it's this specific version of Sto N Sho:

I'm lowered just under an inch, and just make it...
