If I only add koni yellow rear shocks and keep the rest of the stock PP parts is it reasonable to assume I should be able to tune out the bounce? I see people are starting to get them in. Is anyone else thinking of taking this approach. From what I read the Vikings are a flop and cause more harm than good. Either way let me know.

I wouldn't call the Vikings a flop. If you are after performance (particularly drag racing) I think the consensus is that they work remarkably well. We all have to prioritize what we want out of the car. I personally thought the Koni's would be a better "aggressive daily driver" solution from an NVH perspective.

Konis will be next for me. Unsure on the bounce issue as I've done enough to the rear to pretty much eliminate it, but subscribing here to see what those that have them think.

I ordered the Konis in hopes they help get rid of some wheel hop. My order got pushed back another month though.

I think the CB005 and Steeda inserts will take care of the bobble head effect while cruising around on a highway. It helped mine. My base car was real bouncy when cruising around on the freeway when it was stock.

I just installed the FRPP shock and struts and the bounce is completely gone. As an earlier post stated it depends what you want your car to do. I don't drag or track so I couldn't justify the cost of Koni's.

Steeda has a killer deal on koni right now. I have the frpp shocks/struts. If I did it over again I'd spend the 150$ more for koni

Don't disagree, but $150 can get you springs or and additional mod and if you are never going to track why pay for adjustables?

My eyes tend to get bigger than my wallet and this was one of the times that I stepped back and asked 'do I really need this level of performance for spirited road driving?' Plus I told my wife they cost the same as Koni's and bought a spoiler with the extra money

Even if they didn't adjust the valving is much better on the koni vs ford racing.
I'll stick with my ford racing for now. On a side note the koni come with a lifetime warranty while the ford have zero warranty.

Adjustable are a nice feature even for a street car. I can tune them soft for daily commutes in town and quickly crank them up for a spirited weekend in the twistys or a high speed long distance highway drive where I want/need responsive steering at 75mph. They're nice to have if you like tinkering with things.

I once thought like this, and even with meticulous tracking of the location of the damper for autocross, I found out that I'm a little sick in the head and just left them at the autocross settings all the time. Car was firm but it wasn't harsh. I actually began to really enjoy the feeling the more I drove the car.

That said, my Koni's will be here tomorrow according to UPS and I will be installing them on Sunday. I can't wait to finally have them on this car. Going to be so much nicer to drive! :)
