Printing out stuff might not help. But we are a descent sample size as statistics go. I would guess that this is a widespread problem. The number of repeat repairs in my local club is also a good indicator.
PP spec size and offsets (19x9 front, 19x9.5 rear). The spacers really make it work. Aggressive but still a factory look with no poke. Going for a BMW M look.
Looking at the video...might be challenging. You'd likely need to press fit. That's essentially what you did to get it out. I'd leave it in. If you need to get it out...prolly need to install a new OEM from below the car. PITA but do-able.
Just to be clear the Steeda part we're talking about adapts the slotted adjuster for an eccentric. Steeda also makes an adjustable camber arm. The latter is a whole different thing.
Literally watched the rear alignment with the digital readout. My tech took an extra 10 minutes per side iterating between toe link and camber arm before we got things dialed in. The rear suspension geometry is what it is.
Not necessary but the eccentric makes an accurate, performance algnment much easier (perhaps the only accurate way in fact). Since toe and camber adjustments are related, the ability to make fine adjustments is important. Many shops are unaware of how the rear camber is adjusted and even if they...
Well said. Studs are for tensile (stretchy) and not for shear (bendy) loads. Properly clamped together with the right torque...your hub and wheel (and spacer if you want) are mechanically a single unit. All the shear loads are on your hub and wheel...not the studs. Adaptors change all that.
It isn't just the stance I like. Handling is amazing (the more Steeda bits the better). But it's also that living with these springs is easy ... Speed bumps, driveways, weird stuff on the road. All no problem. About 18 months on these and nothing has scraped or dented or anything.
From an engineering perspective you are trading tensile loads (trying to stretch the studs) for shear loads (trying to rip the spacer in half). Tensile is much stronger. I did extended ARP studs and slip on spacers (13mm rear/15 mm front). Not that hard to do it right.
