Has anyone figured out the optimal HWY speed for these cars with select gearing (3.15,3.55,3.73?
Ran 125 freeway miles today at 68 mph. 27.2 mpg on the computer, starting with a full tank. Sweet. 3.15 AT.

Don't have any pics, but I live 3 miles from my work and am hardly on the highway due to be so close to everything in my area. So far I've been getting around 14.5mpg with the GT PP. Basically what I was getting in my 2013 for city driving, but that had the 3.31 manual trans. The 3.73's help keep the revs lower cruising around town. I've also had trouble keeping my foot off of it as I look to hear the SW catback roar :clap2:

Perhaps we can state which gas station we used? My first 2 fill ups were from Shell with 93oct. This current tank seems to be my best tank thus far using Sunoco 93oct

Just filled up for my 3rd tank at the start of my morning commute. Hit 24.9 mpg as I rolled in to work. Not any fun, but the mileage is nice.

Got 19.8 mpg from the 2nd tank with a mix of city and highway commuting.

Only 132 miles... lol. Average about 15 right now down to half tank and topped off with 93... I know it's only break in time so it will get better when broke in and when I get used to driving it

Nice! How many miles were on the car before you began your trip? I'm trying to figure out when mileage begins to settle down… I just had my first refill at 262 miles right before the snow started falling Tuesday night.

Drove the GT from Atlanta to Lansing, MI for the holidays. Started the trip with 420 miles on the car. I'm sitting at 1466 today.

So far, my MPG is around 25 for the trip with most of the highway miles giving me over 26. All tanks have been 93 octane.

I was around 1100 miles. 93 oct, manual if it matters. I would say around town and daily work commute with 70 hwy 30% city, i average around 22mpg. the trip, i would say was about 90% hwy, averaging 65 to 80mph, mixed with holiday stop/go around the major cities

380 miles thanksgiving trip to northern wisconsin, gt pp with Blizzack LM 32's. The car has 1002 miles on it. At the end of the trip the computer showed 26.7 mpg average. Speeds varied on cruise control between 65 and 72 mph. Driving mode was snow mode since it snowed most of the way. I m surpised that how good the mpg is for a v8 and 3 73 gears. If you go above 2100 rpm the mpg droppes pretty bad. The sweet spot seems to be 68 69 miles per hour which is at 2000 rpm. Advertised 25 mpg seems to be around speeds between 72 74 mph on completely flat roads. I m more than pleased. Cheers.
