When installing the front Brembo brakes w/steel braided lines, it immediately became obvious that the driver side was fine, but the passenger side bolt on the end of the steel hydraulic tube was cross threaded into the stock rubber lines, which of course made it hellacious to install in the new steel braided lines.
Wouldn’t you know it, the driver side is fine, but the rear passenger side, SAME EXACT THING, but even worse. Can’t make it work. Christ almighty.
Any idea what the thread pitch/size is of the bolt on the steel hydraulic tube that connects the steel tube to the stock rubber line? (The line that goes to the caliper). It appears I need to use a die to fix the threads.
If not, any idea what it’s like to replace the hydraulic steel tube? I assume worse than anything on the entire car…
Bolt in question below properly mounted on someone else’s car
