I want to get out that way. At the risk of highjacking this thread, I'm interested in comments on Route 50 in that area. I'm in Virginia. I've been tempted to drive the length of 50 across the country. I've done some snooping on Google street view through portions of eastern and central CO and it looks nice.
I’ll be taking 50 south. Will try to remember to update you.

I just settled in my first stay in Kerrville TX. Lost 2 hours in traffic tangles between Houston and San Antonio. Starting to see some hills.

Allow plenty os following space in Arizona between you and cars in front of you. Tons of gravel on the roads here.

Greetings from Las Cruces NM. This is the view from my room. I did the 400 mile or so stretch of west Texas 80 MPH zone today. The car loved the speed.

People who drove my GT premium convertible commented that the seats were quite hard after about an hour. All weighed around 200lbs or more.

I’ve driven 12 hours with few stops in my 2018 EB premium. This trip I’m trying to stay under 600miles per day with 3 or so stops though I have had a few 10 hour stretches in this vert. The secret is to move the seats around occasionally to avoid putting roots down as I call it.
BTW, my big ass is almost 300 lbs. cheers from Phoenix

This was from a gas stop in Picacho, AZ which is about 50 miles east of Phoenix.

Bring a spare tire! You never know..Better safe then sorry..Be prepared..

Hey Cyberbill, I have a Race Red 2019 Mustang GT convertible California Special. With the spare tire did you also get a matching wheel so you can place it into rotation with your other tires. Or what? I've been thinking about getting a spare with a matching wheel but was wondering about the cost - money wise and hassle wise. Appreciate your feedback.

That looks tempting. I may up my stay in Grand Junction to 2 nights and explore the north before going south on US 50
If you are going to take 50 south, I HIGHLY recommend the slight detour circled in red. Last year was brand new asphalt. If we weren't chasing elk in pickups, my car would have been a dream on it, especially the southern section.

nope. It’s just a donut spare…not full. I’m not sure a full tire will fit in the wheel well, but maybe someone can verify that, and correct me.

Took I-15 from Vegas North to UT 9 south through Zion National Park, to US 89, to I-70 east to Grand Junction Colorado. Utah is beautiful. I’m glad I did the park but traffic was slow.

How's your car holding up? I'm planning on a trip from Washington state down to San Diego later this summer in my '22 GT. Any additional tips not yet mentioned once you're done would be much appreciated.

Glad you enjoyed! And yeah, this is peak tourist season, so it can be a bit busy. The biggest thing that impacts traffic is the Mt. Carmel tunnel. People insist on bringing giant RV's through the park and they can't fit in one lane of the tunnel, so they make the other direction wait.

Have fun in Colorado, it's just as beautiful for sure.

The car is awesome. It now prefers Sport Plus for hill climbing and descending. My only complaint is that there’s no decent self service car washes. The two that I saw, I wouldn’t walk through them let alone drive in. There’s large bugs across I-10 and small ones in the mountains.
I did find a garden hose at a truck stop to hose them off. Thanks to 3 year ceramic coated with 6 month ceramic.
The other good feature is the adaptive cruise, especially at high speeds. If you have it, learn how to use it. It kept me out of trouble .
