I am so undecided on what axle back exhaust to get I am now just going to wait!! I have read it feels like thousands of post on exhaust and also listened to hundreds of sound clips. Just can't decide.

Like I have said in other post I have resonator delete with an H pipe and it sounds good when everything is cold but gets a little mellow once things warm up. My car is my daily driver mostly highway miles so I don't want something obnoxious. I also don't want something so raspy that it sounds like my car is coming apart when I accelerate hard.

Thinking I will just stick with what I have at this point and start looking again later if this current set up gets too boring.

Too many options out there!!!

I'm right there with you... and most of the options I might be interested in are >$1000 so it prohibits just trying something for fun.

If you're like me, you want to hear some noise but not too much. At this point I only want a quality/clean sound without all of the ear bleeding. I personally went with the Corsa Sports and will not be going back. It's burbley with that crack of the whip sound between aggressive shifts. Just my 2 cents.

Op you're a wise man grasshopper, wait some digest the knowledge. The end results will benefit you the most.

Have you though about making changes in steps. Sound described is not sound heard.

Consider the X/H pipe that changes things. The car will have some rasp, the 4 valve, over head cams do that. It also will not sound like 60's muscle car, for the same reason.

If you want more then go for the mufflers.

It's a shame that you can't just retrofit the OEM AE system. It's by far the best factory exhaust I've ever heard and/or owned. And quiet more is really quiet, while still sounding muscular. Track mode is actually louder than I like, so sport is perfect for me. Plus no issues with the neighbors if you need to leave early, or arrive late. It sounds like a luxury coupe in quiet mode. Best of both worlds. Good luck.

Technically, you can. There is a whole thread about it. I’m working on it now actually :-)

I got a set of takeoff mufflers for basically free, so I’m working to get some actuators rigged up now. I figure until I find a better solution, these will be a good upgrade from the base mufflers.
