Cheers kcc,That is the way to go. I was about to recommend that when I saw you already came to the right conclusion. The 2200SL is maxed out quicker than you think. Most people running it are over spinning it. The transmission and clutch will be your biggest headache if you drag race it on a good track.
Are you suggesting that the SL is somehow different in the gearbox? Or is it overtemp with the self contained oil setup?
It will be primarily on the street that I use it but certainly I think it may go "plink" anyway. Or maybe axles.
