I am considering that kit with the Vortech blower for a street setup. Not going to any crazy power levels that the 2200SL is capable of and I don't track the car. Just something to scare some people on the street. Seems like a solid setup paired with the 18 manifold I've got on already.I got the Beefcake Special Paxton Stage 2 kit, 2200SL headunit. Comes with the BV57 BOV (definitely recommend) and 3.6" pulley. I'm set up with a custom tune and run pump gas only. Runs like a raped ape and has been faultlessly reliable in the first year since I've self installed it. Only engine mods are billet OPG and crank sprocket.

Does look really awesome! I'll probably keep an intake tube running to a closed box setup with my Velossatech in the grill though. I'm not that hardcore, lol.I also think it is one of the best looking set ups. Why? Because I like the huge polished blower smacking you in the face when you pop the hood :-D
You could also run a 6 rib Griptec pulley if you’re concerned about belt slip. Thanks Tim,
Good to know.
So there's better Blow off Valves.

I’m also from Oz and I’m very interested in the Paxton kit, I’ll follow this with interest.I'm thinking about one of these kits and I have some basic questions that I'm sure you guys know.
Can they be used with a GT350 Intake manifold including the GT350 airbox?
What are the HP/torque limits of the factory engine?
I'm was considering buying the necessary parts for torque boosting right off the bat. Does this result in calibration issues in any form?
I suspect the stock clutch will need to go?
Is the Novi 2200HD the same as the SL with helical gears but with engine oil lubrication?
thanks.
I'd do plugs right off the bat and from the reports the 6rib isn't a problem for most set-ups. Myself I'll probably go 8-rib and Engine oil fed HD compressor straight up because I know I always want more later and that will future proof it to a degree and I just don't like the idea of having to change the blower oil separately.I've seen the various additions you can add to these kits on Beefcake's site. At one point do you need new spark plugs or an 8-rib setup? That's the part I was slightly confused on. I'm sure the 8-rib setups are for smaller pulley, higher boost/power for no belt slip? The spark plugs I'm not sure. I know injectors are needed.
That is the way to go. I was about to recommend that when I saw you already came to the right conclusion. The 2200SL is maxed out quicker than you think. Most people running it are over spinning it. The transmission and clutch will be your biggest headache if you drag race it on a good track.I'd do plugs right off the bat and from the reports the 6rib isn't a problem for most set-ups. Just deciding whether to go for a pump or a pump booster now.
