Hi guys, 2017 Gt here with a 18 manifold IRMC locked out. I have bought a used Paxton kit that needed a rebuild of the head unit. I shipped it to Vortech and it is pretty much all new now except for my volute which was reused. While waiting for my rebuild I threw in my OPG and CS for some reassurance. Kit is all on and good except for my boost gauge is reading low boost. I just pressure checked the system yesterday to 25 psi and everything is nice and snug. I regulated air from my compressor to 15 psi and put it to my line going to boost gauge and it read exactly 15psi. I even went a step further and got another boost gauge to check and it read the same which is 6-8psi under WOT. I have a 18 manifold am running the 3.33 pulley and a Tial Q50 BOV. Now where I have my lines connected is to the brake booster line before the check valve. I also have my boost reference line and my BOV tied in there as well and they work like they are supposed to. Large vac port on the manifold is capped off because I am running breathers for my valve covers and the other is for the evap system. Brand new gates green belt on and it is TIGHT!! I have checked for belt slip and have no dust. I am at a loss here so ANY input is appreciated.

Did you just recently install the manifold? 18 manifold can lower boost.

No the 18 manifold has been on there. I can understand lower boost but my friend has the EXACT same setup on a 3.67 pulley and is making 12 no problem.

Did you record the boost gauge during a pass. I had a 3.48 on my 2200 and occasionally it would stop at 10PSI and just flutter which I assume was belt slip. I have a 2018 intake and I saw 15psi at 7500.

I have recorded the boost gauge on almost every pass and not once has it ever gotten to 10psi. No way in hell it is only making 8 psi, now only going to 6psi. My fuel pressure shoots up 15psi while under wot up in the rpms which is what is strange. 1psi more of fuel pressure for every LBS. of boost my regulator sees. So I know the actual boost is there.

Just wanted to follow up. This was from my dyno run. Made 15 in 5th at 7300. I’m thinking of going to 3.31, idk if it’s revving too fast on the street or what.

The 2200 kits are pretty well put together. Me personally. I’d quit staring at that boost gauge. And get a time slip now that you have dyno numbers. That’ll tell you all if your running right or not.

What Mods and what change from 8/9psi to 15? I had mine on the brake booster but I was seeing low or inconsistency then I changed it on the manifold(passSide) I have 3.48 w/GT350 Manifold LT Catless Tial 50mm seeing 13lbs @7800..
