I’ve been chasing this low boost issue for a while and I can’t seem to pin it down. I’m on a Paxton 2200sl beefcake special with a griptec 3.33 pulley and a gates green belt. Pulley is in the fourth hole and the belt is tight. It is a wastegated setup but even when I remove the Wastegate I only see 8 psi tops. Sometimes 5-6 psi. My clamps are all tight and I don’t believe it to be a boost leak. The only thing I’m questioning is the maxflow race bov. If anyone has dealt with this issue any input would be greatly appreciated. Btw I have verified this number with a second boost gauge and data logs show an air load of 1.95

1.95 air load is more than 10 psi I think
In theory it should be given the barometric pressure of 13.9, but it’s not adding up to manifold pressure (boost)

What's your airflow lb/hr at 7500?

83. 33 , but having come from 850 wheel 19 it’s definitely not making the power indicated by the maf or air load

You're at 12-14psi depending on spark advance.

Not according to my gauge or my butt dyno. Also odd that the boost reading, the maf pound per minute and the air load stays the same with our with out the Wastegate

Are you sure the wastegate is opening?

I’m not. I don’t think it is because there’s not enough pressure to make it open. I’m wondering if I some how could be belt slip or if the factory air box is choking it out or if there’s a big leak somewhere. It’s driving me nuts but I’m so busy with work that I only get about an hour a week to mess with it

Either way, you’re not hitting 83.3lb/hr at 7500 at 6-8psi period. You’re over 11psi.

How much spark advance above 7000?

You could try running positive pressure through it. Just buy some plumbing equipment and only other thing you’ll need is a compressor. Make a custom cap for the blower that seals off where the filter goes and has a fitting to connect to the compressor, then run pressure through it. You’ll find out real fast if you have any leaks

Also like everyone said, you’re making more boost than what you think if you’re maxing out the maf reading.

And I may have missed it, but does the car have a boost gauge?
