Does anyone know if this is covered by warranty? I was detailing the car today and noticed the paint is starting to chip where the bumper meets the rear fender. Its only on one side and you can see its not a rock chip. Its the bright white part on the picture.

They may cover that, but I suggest avoid the hassle with dealing with them and do some touch up paint.

I can't even figure how it would start in that particular spot. Maybe the panel is flexing some or the two panels are rubbing? I would want to know why it was doing it before deciding to touch it up or try for warranty coverage.

My Focus had that issue in a a few bumper corners, I tried to do warranty work, but all they gave me was a free bottle of touch up paint. Actually it did work and never got worse, was the corner seam though, not the parallel area though. But yours looks like it needs to be repainted, I think the paint was not enough on the sides?

It should be covered if the paint/clear layer is peeling. Take it to your Dealer and they should take pics to send in for warranty claim. If warranted, the proper fix would be to remove the bumper cover for prep/repaint.

If you do get it covered, let us know which dealership you go to (especially if you're SFL)!

Mine has a little of this as the paint crests the plastic from front to back. Just garbage Ford paint... I've gotten used to it at this point.
