Is ford letting you take it to wherever you want, or are they going to handle it "in house"?
I ask because the reason I ended up selling my mustang was due to Ford sending my car to a garbage paint shop and them ruining the car. I'm back on the forum since I'm looking into gt500s and saw this...
You hydrolocked the engine. Probably one of the worst things you could do to one. Since you were accelerating when it stalled out, I'm going to predict at least one bent rod.
You'll need to do an oil change just in case there's some water in there.
Then you'll need to remove the sparkplugs...
It's the BBQ tick. Usually starts after an oil change, but Ford deemed it normal. My 2016 GT was embarrassing to drive to a car show with the tick. It got so bad that even my gf asked what that noise was... You'll find lots of posts around here about the tick/knock.
People have had good luck...
How cold are we talking? I see you're in FL so 50-60 degrees?
I have had this happen when it's ~10-20 degrees and I'm still on summer tires. They get rock hard when cold and only warm up after driving on them for a few minutes.
It's time for you to start getting things in writing for a possible court case. You need them to provide a reason on the warranty denial. Ask them what about the filter caused the issue. The oil level needs to be noted as nominal or not. Don't let them say "the car was overfilled/underfilled" at...
I thought that Fram and Motorcraft filters are made on the same assembly line. Sadly I'm not familiar with Canadian consumer protection laws when it comes to auto warranties. Here in the US we have magnuson-moss act which prohibits dealerships from voiding warranties when you do your own work...
Looks like it was pried on. As if someone stuck a wedge in there to force open the door. Kinda like what repo guys do when they're opening locked doors.
Also, I've seen similar damage done by an egg. Eggshells can absolutely chip paint off and the yolk will eat away at the clear coat due to...
You wont be able to detect it with a magnet. The problem is that during manufacturing, tiny amount of steel or other particles get embedded in the aluminum. Eventually, galvanic corrosion occurs.
Nobody is saying that Ford intentionally put dissimilar metals in the hood material, they should be...
Gaumarjos! I'm from Georgia too, but now live in the US but I come back to visit often. I can't really speak to leaded conversion kit, but you'll need to datalog the car to see what error codes you get and overall what the engine is doing. Like I said, if you use leaded gas in an American car...
Hey, are you Georgian (the country)?
I'd start by checking to see if you have any knock. If you are in Georgia(the country), make sure you fill up with good gas. I know there's some really crappy stuff over there and even some leaded which will ruin catalytic converters and o2 sensors.
Well, yes they vent through the PCV but the vapors are caught by the catch can (if you have one). If not, they're either burnt or accumulated and then deposited in the manifold or another part of the engine.
