To be fair Ford also has kept the same oil pump gears. I have also seen people crack their engine blocks where it mates with the transmission (another product mmr sells).

I think it's not a need on stock cars, just like oil pump gears aren't. But I think there is a possibility of it being a benefit on modified cars.
Well. Realistically, with the amount of Coyote engines manufactured from 2011-present (well over 1 million), oil pump gears and other forum occasional mentions probably only carry a failure rate of .02%.

And to be fair to Ford, I've never seen FACTORY oil pump gears break. That vast majority that do are aftermarket ones.

The #8 cylinder failure is 100% myth. It was during the early years with BAMA tunes that grenaded cyl #8, they fixed that blunder very quick. They told customers that it was a 'cooling issue'.

Biggest tell about #8 is the spark plug, when I check #8, it looks exactly like 1-7 plugs. Not even a hint of anything going south.

Logs always show nothing abnormal either. And I have a very aggressive tune.

Doesn’t seem to have fixed the issue. Did a 15 min drive and it got up to 217 CHT and 207 Coolant temps

Fans. Ask yer tuner what they're set at (on/off). Afterthought: Or yer t-stat is being temperamental.

This is why I would like to know if the factory race teams use a crossover.

I don’t think it his fans. The CHT only increased during driving. After 30mph, fans aren’t really even needed nor effective. The fact that if can hold CHT’s under 205° at idle no problem, means there’s something else going on.

If a rear crossover is used in a race application, it's likely the oem configuration up front has been modified.

Gt350 pump vs standard gt. The 350 pump also has ceramic bearings that are smoother than a mother effer. They also appear to be individually QC checked as there was a handwritten tag with date and initials.

That’s the ford performance kit right? From what I can see with dealer parts tools the gt350 is the same as the gt. The gt500 is different.

Even at extended idle, if the fan logic is correct, the CHT's should never reach 230. Those are CHT's that should only be achieved under hard extended use.

My tuner forgot to update the fan logic so I was seeing climbing CHT's, but as soon as I turned on the A/C the temps would drop and stabilize due to the fans coming on (stop and go traffic). We fixed it and even in the FL heat stoplight to stop light with a blower and obstructions from the H/E in front of the radiator I don't see anywhere near 230 CHT in low moving conditions. IAT's are another story

Time to light it on fire. If you had grille shutters then that would be normal, or if this was going uphill. But normal driving? Maybe the water pump picked a convenient time to start going out on you. Any play in the bearing or noises?

I’ll check if I think I hear a noise or if the bearing has play. But it’s a pretty new water pump only a few thousand miles on it.

Does your radiator have the proper "boxing"? There's a rubber flap that seals to the bottom of the rad that can get out of place and let air bypass the rad. The correct orientation is rolled up and making contact with the front of the radiator, not touching the bottom.

Ah yes FP pump, not 350. My mistake.
