I haven’t ever had to hook up a car to a tender. Motorcycles yes, cars/trucks never.
This spring I’m going to be busy with a project and won’t be driving for 3-4 weeks.
This is a great price…what say yous?

Fred, for your use, that one's fine. I have at least four of the Deltrans, but rely more on the C-tek models these days.

Pricewise, that is good for a 4.5 amp. But I'm not sure you need all that power for the application you mentioned.

That is even a good price if it were a 1.5 amp like I have (which has by far been sufficient). That said, I'd probably go with the one you show, as who knows, you may later have a need for a 4.5 instead of a less expensive one.

BTW....at our Costco, it is retailing for $49.99 instead of what your Costco is selling it for.

Bought some Schumacher tender from Walmart for like 30 bucks. 5 years later still going strong. Same battery too !

Thanks guys. This must be a Costco exclusive. Couldn’t find the 4.5 amp anywhere on line, not even on Battery Tenders website.

I paid that much for a 1.5A model 5 years ago. You should jump on that deal.

I usually use C-Tek, but they are more expensive.

IMO amperage is not important on something just intended to prevent your batteries from going flat. What's more important is the proper programming to extend the battery life and prevent any over-charging.

Every one of my cars is on a del-tran tender. All of my cars are still on the original battery. If the price is right, its a no brainer. The warranty is exceptional as well.

I have been using a Deltran battery charger on the Cayman for 2 reasons:
1. I don’t drive it much because I love the Shelby.
2. I don’t drink Brandy, and apparently this makes me not a Porsche driver… I’m still struggling with this and my therapist says that in eight more sessions I may be able to confront society again. (If you don’t get this reference, you will have to search)

I have had ZERO issues with the Deltran unit…. I only charge the Cayman on the weekends. works great….!!!!

Exactly what I use… went on a 3.5 month deploy and came back to a battery well tended to.
