What I have found is that the CTEK cig lighter adapter does NOT work on the GT350.

The outlet in the car is tricky. The power stays hot/on when you turn off the car's power, but then after a minute or so it goes cold/off.

I ended up attaching the CTEK quick connect adapter to the fuse box instead.

Mike02z Hey Mike, I put off ordering the CTEK unit as I was able to keep the car out a bit longer than expected. However it is now stored and I am looking to order what I need from their website and have a question for you; when you say you hardwired to the battery, I am assuming you used a CTEK Comfort Connect? If so, which option did you select, M6, M8 or M10? I would assume M8 but would like to confirm before ordering, as I will hardwire mine in a similar fashion to how you have yours! Link to item in question below:

J_Maher_AMG: I used the hard wired battery connector that came with the CTEK 3300. From the link, I would say you'd want the M8 as we have a top terminal battery. Please let me know if you have any other questions:cheers:

Just can't get enuff!
I use a B&D battery maintainer. It comes with 3 sets of various connectors so I have the ring terminals hard wired to the red main (+) under the fuse box and the black (-) ground on top of the shock tower... it comes with quick disconnects so it's so easy to plug & unplug. The charger's wire routes under the fender/over the headlights when plugged so you can still fully shut the hood.

Great minds think alike! Over the weekend I hardwired my battery maintainer pigtail connector exactly as you just described, and routed the wire from the maintainer to the pigtail connector over the headlight and under the fender too. Easy peasy.

Would you mind posting a picture of this set-up? I am having a hard time figuring out if I want to run it this way or attach it to the battery itself. I have not gone through the fuse box before...but because the hood sits so low it is difficult to keep the tender attached to the battery and allow the hood to have ample room to close. Thank you!

I tried it, the lighter ports on the GT350 are always hot so a charger will work with the car off.

As far as Battery Tender vs CTEK. I have had BT's for 12+ years. Never one problem. I also have a CTEK 3300. Both extension cables are expensive. The BT has much longer cords. You need more shorter cables if you want to use the CTEK.

The CTEK tends to get pretty warm, Not sure if that is normal or not, It also seems to have some QC issues. The case seems flimsy. It does work fine and it does do desulfination (sp?). Not sure that matters unless you run your battery dead often.

On my 16, I hardwired my CTEK to the battery and used an extension to run the cable through the grille. On my 17 GT350, The connector is routed under the spoiler so it's very cover friendly and no need to keep your window cracked or your hood up. Below are he pics from my 16. My 17 is wired the same except the connector is under the splitter.
Question for you Mike, how did you hook it up the positive terminal. I just ordered my CTEK off Amazon and when I'm looking at the battery under the cover, there's no direct nut for me to put the CTEK wire onto like there is on the negative... Is it ok to be on the side and not directly on the main terminal wire?

I use the noco G7200, hard wire bringing it out by the windshield wiper, tucks under the hood and out of the way, and have had no problems.

I am curious to know the same thing, lots of responses in the thread but no answers to this question.... hopefully someone will chime in that has tried it.
I bought a battery tender with 12ft lead. It is attached to the positive terminal in the fuse box , and grounded to the shock tower ground. I ran the lead down beside the engine and out under the car. It has a quick disconnect so you can leave it attached to the car and just unplug the lead. Works great. Just bought a 25ft extension for 15 bucks on amazon for next year. Very happy with it.

I'm going with BatteryMINDER 1510A got a 10 warranty from USA Company. Got best reviews on Amazon and the least amount of bad reviews. Comes with a pigtail to install in the car and set of clamps. 12ft cable. Also claims if you fully charge the batteries it will maintain 4 at once, and does Automatic full time desulfator. $50. AGM, deep cycle, wet flood, Optima, ...

Conventional charger/maintainer vs pulse charger/maintainer - most all Battery Tenders or other conventional chargers/maintainers I have seen use a float charging system to maintain batteries. To summarize sure they will work but in long term shorten the life and charge capacity of your battery...old technology.

Pulse charging technology first developed for the military is the best way to maintain and charge your battery...period. Whether CTEK, Battery Saver, Battery MINDER, NOCO or others they are an investment well worth making. My experience like others see the immediate and long term benefit. There is real science to pulse chargers/maintainers where a conventional charger/maintainers should not even enter the conversation.

A few videos that may help explain the tech:
