Hello !

I want to install a batter tender on my 2017 and use the ring terminals as opposed to the clamps (that chew the terminals up). The negative post is easy but the positive post is a problem because the nut/bolt that clamps the terminal does not appear to make contact with the metal terminal or post.

I found this install after searching and wondered if anyone who had done this had any problems with this (I get a little worried because the charger is not hooked directly to the battery) or if you found a different way to hook it to the battery directly. Here is the post:

Any help is appreciated!

sold my 2018 GT350 :(
I used the same thread as as a guide and hooked up to the post beside the fuse box. Works perfectly for a battery tender cable.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
I am hooked up exactly as “The Chairman” and it works perfectly. That is the way to go.

@Niz55 ...that’s pretty legit. I have the traditional battery tender brand generic plug though. I’d have to come up with something, but that’s awesome.
