I'll keep it simple.

4 x GT350R's were at the Drivers Edge event at MSR Houston this last weekend.
It was HOT! Above 100F both days.

Everyone ran all weekend.
Nobody had any failures. Oil temps were all nominal.
My son and I drove our cars there and back both days.

Lots of comments from other drivers and instructors about how much they like the GT350's and having four of them at the same event....

That's usually the case and I am glad to hear it! Seriously though, did they at least mow the grass in the "paddock" area for you all? I worry more about car fires from the lack of basic upkeep when we run events out there.

Just curious what oil temps you were at and what is considered nominal in your opinion. Not trolling but just curious. I was at the track this weekend and oil temps were just a hair over 270.

No hits, no runs, no errors - that's good, glad y'all had a great weekend at the track. I give you guys lots of credit for being out there. My a** cant handle that heat all day. I'll wait till later in the year before heading back out MSR.

Yes, sir. They mowed the grass.
But, it's still a good idea to stay out of the grass!

Yup. That's what we all saw for engine oil temperatures; just slightly over 270.
For me, having run in vintage racing for some years, anything below 300F is good.

I just did a track day in Phoenix Saturday. Same oil temps. Day started out about 90 degrees and by the last session was 100. No change.
