OK, then the oil temp displayed in the factory cluster is probably an inferred temp as well. The problem with the inferred temp is that it will not change when you install an oil cooler (as I did as well). The calculation is not aware of the additional thermal capacity, so it just keeps calculating oil temp as before. This isn't a problem until it hits the "yellow" range (280, I believe). Then the ECU starts pulling power. This is a bummer for HPDE events.No it does not come with the sensor. The AutoGauge comes with a sensor. I installed a Mishimoto filter adapter plate that has a port for the sensor.
