Just got my 1st oil change done. I never noticed before but now I'm getting a large amount of fluctuation on my oil pressure gauge when RPM's increase. Normal idle and run is around 30psi, With RPM increase it will spike to 80psi and then drop back down depending how hard you get on it. Oil level is correct as well. Is this normal ???

If it's a gen3 you are seeing the effects of the oil pressure control valve opening and closing.

Fresh oil, pressure will run a little high for a short time. Be happy with oil pressure..

For an S550 GT 5.0 Coyote, this is right from Ford:

That PSI info is based upon the standard recommended oil for the 5.0 Coyote.

Also to note:
Oil PSI is always dependent upon operating temps, oil viscosity and RPM.

Totally normal
Oil pressure is rpm’s dependent
Yep. You don't have to get on it much to see the oil pressure ramp up high.

See post #4. It is rpm dependent but the bypass valve has a step-change effect.

Went through this after changing my oil (Whipple installed) and concerned that 100psi was very easy to hit with a little throttle input. Answer: working as intended from a lot of knowledgeable folks.

Yeah, first time I noticed I was like WTF, especially once it was warm. I generally shift at or below 3k until warmed up, and then exceed that some, and the pressure will for sure shoot up.

I saw my ‘19 Bullitt oil pressure hit 60 psi the last tie I drove it. Car is naturally aspirated.

First time you ever looked at your oil pressure gauge was after the first oil change? 🤔 👀

I just did the first oil change on my Bullitt today. I also noticed a rather 'jumpy' oil pressure gauge. Prior to the oil change it seemed a lot smoother. Afterwards, it hovered 20-30 on light acceleration then it shot up to about 85psig at 4k. found it a bit odd and will continue to watch.
think the 20 quarts of oil had anything to do with it?
