Nah, bashing Ford is much more fun than selling the car. 😁
If everything worked flawlessly, it would be a Honda. I don't need that. It would bore the hell out of me. 😁

If you have build number 22200 stop trying as you have the latest.
The problem is, it won't give you any map updates until it acknowledges you're on the latest software version.

Called Ford Europe today and they acknowledged the problem on their backend.
They are working to fix this, the say it will be resolved in a few days, just keep the log file and try to upload it every few days.
You'll know the bug is fixed when it will give you the map updates.

I hope soon because I'm on F10 maps...

Hey guys! Thanks a lot for sharing these things, it's super useful. I was wondering if you managed to finish the update process with the file upload ever since then? By any chance, did you receive any further news from Ford?

Hello,
nope. I try to upload the log every couple of weeks but no way I have the positive confirmation of the update.
If for spring they didn't solve anything I will go on bashing them.

Gents,

Anyone knows why, when I got check and download the new version 3.4, the Ford website say that the last update for my car is 3.0?

I have a 2018 GT with sync 3.

If you have SYNC3 version 3.0 you cannot update to version 3.4 directly through Ford. The only way for you to do this is through Cyanlabs.

Got this email today. Anyone recently update their Mustang? Is it a legit improvement? I don't want Ford gathering more info from me than necessary.

Yes, I did it. As Sync3 is discontinued there are no longer any major improvements. It’s basically a behind the scenes update. No reason not to do it. The latest build # is 22200. You can check in General, About Sync to see what your current build is. And no, they are not gathering any additional information on you.

Okay, so, the instructions say to start the car and keep it in a well-ventilated area. That implies that the engine must be running during the update.

But that's stupid. Is it true?

Just put the battery on a charger and push the key on button without starting the car and start the update.

This update (the one that was announced via email today) was quick. Still won't indicate in the system that my car is fully updated. I don't expect that will ever work as it should.

Go to Sync setting, general, about Sync and check your build #. If it’s 22200 you good to go.

Yep, thanks guys, seems to be the level I'm at. Just still bugs me that Ford's reporting something different. First-world problems, I suppose.

I just got this today and I’m on 22200. As usual the update site is working so I’ll keep trying to see if maybe Ford released 22251.
