Official Ford Sync3 3.4 Release

Sync update over wifi completed when I pulled into the garage after work. There was a message at the top of the screen about downloading. Then after 5 minutes or so as I sat there playing with the stereo, this message popped up:

Hitting details, said this:

Mind you, I am using a Lincoln theme on my unit.

Now this update supposedly changed the layout of the media player screen. I noticed no change on the Lincoln theme.

But when I switched back to the OEM Mustang theme it looked like this:

I have to say, I really love what they did with the media screen. I am now debating if I will change my theme or not.

I wonder why there's no version next to my Gracenotes.

Probably because it didn’t load properly. Others have had the same issue. Unfortunately I do not remember which file is for Gracenote.

I would. But do not use your current download (it may have the corrupted Gracenote file). Start with a fresh download and install. Good luck.

My car enjoys making me a liar......well almost, since the other day I made a statement that mine would never update over wifi and it probably would after making the statement.

Well walked into the garage and turned on accessories and lookie here.

Of course, I have a virtual meeting to attend in 20 min, so will start it up so hopefully, the download continues.

Mine updated in 20 to 30 minutes tops with a couple pauses in between because I was driving out of wifi range.

When you update via USB there is an XML file you upload back to Ford. If the wifi update doesn't send any info back that the update was successful what will happen? Maybe the Ford database needs time to catch-up. I don't know.

I was fiddling around with setting in the music app. Gracenotes was not enabled. It showed me this.

Tried three USB keys nothing is happening. '21 Mustang GT.
Formatted exFat (2 of them 8GB and one is 4 GB). The files unzipped in the root directory.
I'll try again tomorrow morning, car on and plug in the 4GB to the front USB.
Should it be this tricky?
