Thanks! So the S550 theme is still all "blues".

I wish they would carry over the Lincoln Theme (or allow better choices) to the S550. I'm still on the older version of SYNC where the dark mode is still black/grays.

I haven't upgraded (yet) because of the color schemes and don't have any functional issues.

Yeah, it is all blue-ish...
It does look way better in my opinion than 3.3, the 3.0 and 3.3 made the fields look like "bricks" and now this theme kind of smoothed it and made it tad more modern...
Wish it let you organize your own shortcuts much like FCA infotainment does...

This does not look any different than what I already see. I'm getting the impression. For at least the 2020 & forward, Mustangs are mostly current.

Subtle updates such as new roads are added, as an auto update feature. Without the necessity of the USB, and all that goes with a manual install.

What I've noticed, is the post chime of the power on. Will quite sounding. Just about the time this forum blows up with posting regarding a new SYNC update.


It will continue for a few ignition power ups. As if segments/parts of the file down load/installs. Then stops, as if completed.

I have been tracking this same event for sometime. Software preforms a file verification using checksum, when that balance is reached. Then the update will be performed, and re-verified.

From what I can remember from earlier posts, Lincoln theme is gold-ish, that DEF won't match.

There are different themes. Some gold but some all grey

Yikes. That one looks... not great.
Again, to each their own. I suppose it would be nice to be able to pick button style and color combos. Would have thought that's not that hard to implement, but doesn't break my heart to not have that...

This doesn’t require Forscan since it is not permanent. It lets you try it out. If you want to make it permanent then you need Forscan.

By matching, you mean the font?
If you have digital dash, you can set it to all blue (or create your own color dark blue, it looks great actually) and then you'll have it matching, ish...

No, I was referring to the top and bottom bars being blacked as well as the background color. Like this:

I have
SYNC3 S/W Ver 3.4 Build 20136 and Wifi update from car says no update available.

I'm trying to DL the latest Sync 3.4 version from a PC and MAC but it will not DL from:

https://help.ford.com/update-sync/usb/

After correct VIN entered it Says:

"Click here if your download has not started: 5U5T-14G381-ET.zip
Your SYNC system will be updated to SYNC3 v3.4.21194"

The DL does not start automatically so I click it to DL, or try to "Save as"

Then I get:
"Loading complete."

But I don't get the proper zip file DL'ed. I get an .xml file that has errors (see below) and it won't let me DL the proper .zip file.

There have been issues with Ford’s servers. Not sure it’s affecting you good folks down around but it sounds like it is.

I had something come up on my wife's Lincoln, which has been updated. If I use the Travel Link command and ask for weather it gives weather no problem. BUT when I hit the home button to go back nothing happens. I have to hit one of the functions like nav or audio and then the home button to get back. Is anyone else having that issue?

I haven't tried it yet on Mustang to see if that has the same issue.

That's been that way for quite a while unfortunately. Still annoys me.
