So for those wondering my update took maybe 20-25 minutes. Ended up with 3.4 for the software and NA 117 for the maps. Going to try the map update later once the site comes back up. The only thing that was weird was when the software update was done the screen was themed black. Couldn't read anything. When I restarted the car and went into the menu I was able to adjust the background but at first all the thumbnails showed up blank.

The only thread I saw it reported as "working" was a user saying it works on Ford Fusions. It did not worked for me on build 19274 and it does not work now on build 20136.
Fusions don’t have a digital cluster. Are we referencing the same thing?

That’s an infotainment screen, not a digital gauge cluster...
This is a digital gauge cluster

The directions in the center are what I’m referencing for CarPlay.

Must be talking about different things!
So what were you referencing in regards to Android Auto and navigation that CarPlay/Apple Maps doesn’t do? (I’m honestly asking because I’m super confused)

I think that’s referencing small info screens (not infotainment systems - the tiny screen(s) by the analog gauges) in other Fords. AFAIK non-Digital Gauge/Dash Mustangs (ie: 300a, 301a, 400a) do not show turn-by-turn directions in the small info screen at all (My 16 GT didn’t). With 401a, Bullitts, and GT500s, when using Sync3’s built-in navigation, turn-by-turn directions can appear in the center of the digital gauge cluster (as shown in the image I posted). With Sync3 v3.4, supposedly, Waze (via Sync3 app), Apple Maps (via CarPlay), and Google Maps (via AA) will now also show turn-by-turn in there.

My CarPlay didn't work when I tried it. 401A 2019 Mustang GT. Not sure what is going on with that.

Its all good.. Carplay, Waze did not work for me on two different builds of 3.4. AA and Sync NAV works. Try it out and report back!
