This is what was fixed on my car. Sometimes a symptom is the cruise control works intermittently. Mine had that symptom.Crammer I hear ya man. But just spoke to the dealer. They believe it’s a backed out flange nut that monitors something with the transmission. Apparently there is a TSB for it which I’m attaching a screenshot of. They said the part is on back order because it is so new.![]()
It's not torquey down low, but it should accelerate in 6th, some. Mine does. If you have the cruise control on steady state at 65 the car is just fine tooling along at 1800 rpm. Yes, if you want to pass you need to downshift, but it should accelerate some in 60th, albeit slowly. This is not a torquey car. I never shift to 6th unless I'm over 75mph. Anything else is 5th gear. This car prefers to be around 3,000 rpm. at 65mph in 6th gear I'd be under 2,000 RPM and the car would hate it. I downshift from 6th fo 5th at around the 70mph mark. Below there I have to be in 5th.
Flooring it in 6th at highway speeds? Yikes. Don't do that. When I first bought the vehicle, 6th gear was different. I could accelerate with no problem. Now I hit the pedal and the rpms don’t change even if I put it to the floor. It’s very strange. No codes
Just re-read the thread and didn't realize it wasn't accelerating at all. I thought he was just exaggerating. I've heard plenty of people complain that "there's so little torque down low that it just doesn't accelerate" when what they really mean is that it doesn't accelerate the way a 5.0 would.
This kind of makes sense.Crammer I hear ya man. But just spoke to the dealer. They believe it’s a backed out flange nut that monitors something with the transmission. Apparently there is a TSB for it which I’m attaching a screenshot of. They said the part is on back order because it is so new.![]()

Any update?I recently bought a used 2018 GT350 with 2500 miles on it. 4 days after buying it I switched into 6th gear at around 60-65 mph and had no throttle response. I mash the petal and nothing. I know 6th is a cruising gear but I can’t accelerate at all. 5th gear seems to lack power and the car sounds bogged down. Took it right to a Ford Dealership and they have had it for 3 days with no answers. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thanks for any help.
