Hi M6G community,

I got a weird error screen on my nGAUGE not too long ago and wanted to see if anyone had this experience.
Hopefully it's not a symptom of it bricking in the future. These are discontinued and it's super helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Did you buy that new or used? How long have you had it? I have an nGauge too and love it. I can’t believe the manufacturer went out of business. This was/is a very popular and user friendly product.

Bought it new in '17 and it's worked flawlessly up until that error showed up.

If it does brick, I guess I'll do a SCT or something but I'm not 100% familiar with uploading tunes to a new module or if a tuner needs to do it, etc.

Guess I'm gonna start learning lol

I remember reading a while ago, about someone looking for a company to replace the screen in their nGauge, but I don’t know if they were successful in that endeavor.

Some embeded C code encountered an impossible condition, leading to stopping the code to execute (in that "Finite State Machine"module, which is likely very important in the embedded software world).
That being said, I would :
* Restart if (you might have done that already) --> Is this happening again ?
* Reset it completely and retry.
* Re-flash the firmware through USB.

If any of this is working, sounds like some memory corruption due to component failure :(

Well poop (The component failure part).

Yes, I did restart it and it worked fine. Thanks for your response👍

There have been several M6G members that experienced Ngauge issues; many seem to relate to the Ngauge cable.

Check this thread out, read through to page 2:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/im-looking-for-ngauge-cable.182653/

I would try a reboot as suggested above, if that doesn’t work then try replacing the cable.
