Haven't seen any c/f tires, most are rubber. The tires or wheels?
So you're talking about wheels....lol. You need to learn how to convey thoughts into sentences.Haven't seen any c/f tires, most are rubber.
Looks like he just got hit with the ban hammer…So you're talking about wheels....lol. You need to learn how to convey thoughts into sentences.
Do they shelve them or toss them? You should really pick one, as those two words are also very different. Which series is shelving or tossing CF wheels? You also state that they are lost to time...so time sitting? A year sitting? A year used?
I have a good friend who is pretty close to Matt. This friend of mine is, IMO, a great human being - so I'd like to think a friend of his isn't a toolMatt Farah is a tool and I would never take what he has to say as coming from a car guy. I remember when he reviewed the previous GT500 and all he did was smokey burnouts and said it was just a rental car. Complete Idiot IMHO.
It's about time.Looks like he just got hit with the ban hammer…
I don’t disagreeIt's about time.
TBH I would absolutely hate having wheels that cost this much and are this fragile
What is issues do magnesium wheels have? The thing about CF wheels is that they're notch sensitive which may be a headache some owners don't want to deal with. Properly maintained they can last for years but it can be a PITA if you're not one of those types that meticulously maintains your car. Aluminum isn't notch sensitive and AFAIK magnesium isn't either, but it has other issues.
He might be the better IRL but my opinion has taken many moons to come to this conclusion. You just explained in a very polite way his opinion is bought and paid for, not very flattering IMHOI have a good friend who is pretty close to Matt. My point is, he is probably walking a balance between car stuff and the business of car stuff. I obviously disagree with his sudden, somewhat abrasive comments on CF wheels...and probably some other stuff but in the end, he's just one dude with an opinion. He's also running a business..so take that however you like.
I have more beef with the people who jump on the bandwagon with zero experience or even any engineering knowledge at all on the topic.
Well there is the fire issue with magnesium. Kiss the car good bye if it happens. But, that's as worry some as CF wheels breakingThe thing about CF wheels is that they're notch sensitive which may be a headache some owners don't want to deal with. Same. I didn’t really dislike the guy until seeing this, which after watching it 3 times led me to the conclusion it’s just clickbait. “Ford is done with carbon fiber wheels.” Ok why are they still offered? “Porsche has no patience for carbon fiber wheels.” Somebody better let Porsche know that! I did watch some of his stuff before, but I will avoid all of his material from now on. He has lost all credibility with me.He might be the better IRL but my opinion has taken many moons to come to this conclusion.
