It’s a 5.2 with Oliver I beams and Manley pistons @12.1 CR. Kept my intake cams as well.

Likely goes back in this weekend and then I’ll be just waiting on my bc3 trans to get here.

Gonna be a sick combo!! What power adder? Definitely interested in the final product and seeing it run!

Thanks! I’ve got a gen2r vmp blower for now.
That combo is going to be crazy fun with the instant boost. Plus i think the VMP (pre-Odin) and Roush look the best when you open the hood.

Gorgeous motor! That gen 2R is a great blower but it looks like it could use a big Whipple :sunglasses:
Might go turbo one day or whipple. Logan hooked me up with this blower but I do regret not doing the whipple at the time.

I have the same motor on the way. Did you get port work on the heads and upgraded springs?

I have hellion on my current set-up

I just had the head refreshed but did get upgraded springs. How long was your wait?

Total was about 7 or 8 months. I initially started with the short-block, then upgraded to the long block. The waiting on the timing components and a few other things made the wait longer. I believe I have the 2000hp version.

they were kind enough to upgraded the rods to Oliver’s, since they became available after I placed my order

wow that’s a lot longer then my wait.
I sent my 5.2 block and gen2 heads to them in July. Ended up making changes also. They also upgraded my rods for the delays.
Super awesome company to work with.
I guess mine wasn’t delayed as much because I sourced all of the timing parts and random things needed.
What power adder do you have?

I have Hellion Twin turbo. My long-block is for Gen3, 5.2 though…

Stupid question…. Do you have to do anything special to swap 5.2 into GT’s (wiring harness etc.)?

Just to be clear it’s not an engine swap from a gt350 or gt500. It’s a gt500 block so it’s basically the same as my gen 2 engine just stronger.

Still correct. You're still operating with a coyote in practice, just a big-bore coyote.
