I have Velgen VF5 19x10 and 19x11 ready to install. I started yesterday looking for tires. I live in Puerto Rico so is summer all year long (85F-95F) but we do have some rain. I dd around 30miles and will not see any track soon. Im running J&M CC Plates, Steeda Pro-Active Suspension, minimum drop springs, alignment Kit, IRS Bushing, Subframe Braces, Rear Shock Mounts and vertical links.

I was looking at the Yokohama Advan V601 285/35/19 and 305/30/19

Or should I go 305/35/19?

I’m running those same wheels but 275/35 front and 295/35 rear, Conti Extreme Contact Sport 02s. Excellent tires!

Me too.
I can vouch for their rain traction on track!

Another vote here for Conti…they were sold out nationwide when I needed a set, so I’m currently slumming it with Eagle F1 Supercars (not the -3) 😎

The Mustang is a front heavy understeering pig. If you care about handling you need a square setup

+1 more for Conti Extreme Sport Contact 02's. Absolutely amazing tires.

If price is a concern, the G-Max RS, as mentioned above, is a really good tire for the price.

Also, yeah....go with a square setup. I have 275-35-20's Cont ECS02's on mine.

Go square set up! You won't regret it! Or if you must go staggered run a 295 front and 305 rear, you need to mitigate the terrible understeer these cars have!

I also have General G-max tires on my car. Very little spinning on a 2nd gear punch. I actually was very surprised being boosted. I also run 20s so that may help a bit. They're cheap and have probably 7k miles on them now and they're holding up very well.

I had PS4. I am now on ECS and I like them better. Great in the rain, too.

There is a $110 Conti rebate out, and maybe another $90 rebate too. That's what I got. Paying them off over 6 months 0%.

Why not get the ECS 02 the same size you are planning with the Pilot Sport 4S?

ECS don’t come in 305/35/19. Pilot Super Sport is about the only good summer tire in that size unfortunately.

Oops, I forgot you are on 19s. I was thinking 20s. I run the ECS 02 as my main tire and break out the Nitto rii for the really hot months. I've had no problems with the ECS 02.
