Has anyone had Blizzaks before? A guy at work told me they wear pretty fast? I won't be driving on snow everyday here in indiana but it does get bad. These stock tires don't grip well in 30 deg temps
Are you driving on the performance package tires right now??

Hope he doesn't, those are summer only tires, outright dangerous in cold and can get cracked...

I ended up going with michelin x-ice xi3. They were about about $45 less per a tire than the lm32s - in a 19/245/45 size. Plus $70 mail in rebate. Seem to have good reviews. We will see.

Can you fit 245/45-19 tires on the PP wheels (the factory summer tires are 255/40-19 and 275/40-19)? Or did you get new wheels, too?

I went with new wheels as well. 8.5" wide.

I've read varying opinions on 245s on 9.5" wheels. All the way from 'no problem' to 'no way'. I personally think it would be pushing it - will definitely be stretched.

Ideally a 245 would be on an 8.5" wheel, 9" wheel would be livable, as would an 8". 9.5" is not a good idea. Ideal size for a 9.5" wheel is a 265, POSSIBLY a 275 depending on sidewall aspect ratio.

While it will fit there won't be much tire there to protect the edge of the rim if you happen to get close to something.

Since winters in NYC are not as crazy as in other states (not that I'd bring the car out in anything heavy), I opted to go with General G-Max A3. It's a high performance all weather with light snow campabilities. They are running me way less than the LM-32 and have really decent reviews for all uses. The Pirellis proved terrible at 40° and rain. So they have to be put away. Please note, I'm using them only for winter, not as a year round set up

Ya. On the AMR site they are listed as fitting the GT500 which has the same size brakes as the PP. Plus there are a couple of guys here with those installed on their PP cars.

Guess I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks.
