Mysterious Button in GT

I recently found a button in my GT. It seems like its part of the dash. I tried to do some research but wasn't able to find anything.. leading me the believe its not oem. The button doesn't seem to do anything but just click in and out. Any idea what it could be?

If I hear a "ejecto seato cuz" joke I will explode.

Since we now know it goes the front bumper, I am going to guess it was connected to a laser jammer. That way they could turn if off after slowing down.

Are there parking sensors in the front bumper?
If yes, that was not an option from the factory.

There are people that sill swear there's a traction nanny jumper under the hood that disables all the nannies if you disconnect it.

Could this switch have been a way to disconnect that jumper without leaving the cabin?

I should have clarified: they don't trust the switches on the inside to turn those things off.

Funny you say that. I've tried it both ways and can't tell a difference. No matter how hard I hit it, spin feels the same.

Button buddies!! I got one too!

Check the fuse box for an add-a-fuse tap. Might lead you to the answer with minimal effort.

Best to leave the switch off until you figure it out. Just in case the previous owner removed the mystery device and left you an open (possibly unfused) connection. Some people suck.

I did pulled the plug one time on mine to investigate a vibration.
The traction control was cutting power even after i completely disabled it by the inside button, keeping it pressed for 10 or so seconds until it said it was off.

Did pulling the plug change the issue? If working correctly, traction control shouldn't be cutting power if you have advance trak off. It may intervene a little in extreme cases of wheel spin but I don't know if it would be enough to notice.

Yes, pulling the plug had everything completely disabled.
Case in point was extreme. 70MPH freeweeling on QuickJacks...

Yeah a 70mph difference in wheel spin would be an extreme case. Good to know.

Looks like someone could have installed a front camera and that button would link to the screen for the image. Or aftermarket alarm?
