Yeah I've been thinking about that. When they axe the V6, does the value go up you think? I'm daily driving mine for hopefully 6+ years. Current job is very close so I'm only doing 5k miles a year but things change fast.
I'm been wondering this myself. Will we have a rare gem with our v6's or will we just have something no one wants in a few years. I'm hoping to see an ecoboost 6 cylinder in a mustang in the near future now I would definitely trade in on that.

If that happens I think the value of our cars will definitely go down. I plan on keeping mine for at least 5+ years. At that point I should (hopefully) be in better financial standing with a full time job out of college. Depending on where I am at in the next few years will determine what I do. Wether that be going crazy modifying/restoring my 15 or just trade it in for a new model mustang.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Look how tight the package is to the existing 3.7L (particularly passenger side) and imagine trying to fit a turbocharger with its wastegate and ducting in there.

I imagine a well-maintained, 051A V6 will hold its value better than a similar EB, particularly with certain enthusiasts.

Hmmm im not really sure if i agree. I still think our engine bay is pretty spacious. The procharger seems to fit, why not a turbo?

Procharger is front-mounted, FEAD driven and is a very compact FI setup. Ford's V6 EB setups have large Y-pipes for the air inlet to the turbos and then you have two sets of high pressure ducts going to the IC. I'm not saying it can't be done on a 1-off job, but it would probably violate a lot of design rules and standard clearance zones that Ford engineers to. Look at the underhood layout of the 3.5L EB F-150 to know what I mean. It's a much tigher package than the 5.0L V8.

Super interested. Lucky you (no pun to your name intended :D) So what is the plan now? are you gonna run a tune on it? When are you gonna install them? and by the way, if you don't have it already, this is the type of situation when the BBK throttle body really comes alive. I would invest in it if i were you ;)
No I'm not runing a tune and I'm putting them on tomorrow. The problem with the throttle body is that it's between that or shorty headers. I Am going to run a tune once it comes out. So, I'm still stuck between the shorty headers and the throttle body. Don't know which one is more beneficial because it's 100 dollars more than the shorty headers and doesn't add the same look to the engine bay.

well, We shall convince Ford to run prochargers stock on every single new V6 then :D:D:D

Procharger is very interesting. Down the line when you feel like you might need to upgrade your car to something new there's always just the $5,000 option of BOOST.

Haha so back onto the CAI...

Driving impressions: MY GOD!! :D:headbang::hail: I never expected to have this much of a difference in sound. It sounds aggressive like it should be! The PCM has seemed to have relearned its parameters which has made the performance increase that much more apparent. Traction control no longer works on 0-60's :D My best time thus far as been the 5.5 with TC off. The car is more eager now as well. No more hesitation (aside from the auto playing catchup). Oh and I think I might have effected mpg as well.... Its hard to quantify exactly how much it has improved since the weather has warmed up as well. It seems as though my average for my daily commute will go up to 29mpg! That is up from 27mpg when it was still warm in 2014 and up from 26mpg during the winter.

Glad to hear you are liking the results. I will have one on my car this week/early next week
