Amazon Apertif: shop online for 4 oz each of 10 different DCTFs, stirred not shaken. ;) As for my MT-82D4 I refilled it with Motorcraft DCTF, it shifts just fine with that.

Interesting, I can't find a link on the Motul website directing you to ShopMotul and I see no mention of 'High torque DCTF' on the Motul website either....

Whois shows different registrars...

The MT-82 Trans spec is DCTF. Any reason why you wouldn’t consider a high quality DCTF fluid such as Motul Multi-DCTF ?
BG Synchro Shift II Meets or exceeds Ford's Specifications for their OEM DCT Fluid, spec. Ford XT-11-QDC (Spec. WSS-M2C200-D2)

I’ve been a GBSSII uses for over a decade in other vehicles so I’m aware.

Maybe it’s time Optimum Performance moves forward with also offering up Motul Multi-DCTF.
Just saying.

I would use Motul DCTF but as for BG I do not consider "compatible and suitable" to be the same as "meets or exceeds".

I’m running BG Synchro Shift II in my rebuilt MT82-D4. So far, I have no complaints and intend to stay with it. I haven’t experienced a single nibble at all in the 600 miles that I’ve put on the tranny thus far.

Bob, because the Ford spec is for a DCT transmission fluid, BG Syncro Shift II works in all manual transmissions. So it meets or exceeds the Ford Specifications for use in the MT82.
The OEM supplied Tremecs call for an ATF fluid, but everyone knows an ATF is a poor choice in a manual transmission so we use BG SyncroShift. Does BG Syncroshift (or any manual/DCT fluid) meet the specifications of an ATF? No, because it is a manual transmission fluid. You would have a bad day running anything but ATF in and Automatic transmission. The MT82 is not a DCT transmission, it is a conventional manual transmission.

After offering our kits for 7 years and the feedback received, I am confident in stating that BG Syncro Shift II far exceeds the fluid performance requirements of the MT82 series manual transmission. The BG product has been used in the MT82 since it was introduced in the Mustang, so that's a 12+ year history.

Not all ATF’s are created equal.
If Tremec spec’s and warranties ATF I’d think they would’ve validated that.

From the horse’s mouth;
“The use of Dexron-III or Mobil 1 ATF in T-5 and Magnum-series transmission, and “GM” Syncromesh in TKO transmission will remain acceptable practice until otherwise specified.”

The MT82 is not a DCT transmission, it is a conventional manual transmission.
Don’t Dual Clutch Transmissions use virtually the same style gears and synchronizers as modern manual transmissions ?

Has Optimum Performance tested Motul-Multi DCTF for comparison or colder climate customers ?

Upon teardown of my MT82-D4, I noticed that coating on the synchros was gritty like sandpaper and easily rubbed off on my fingers. The inner bearing race on the input shaft also looked like this. I don’t know if this was caused from the factory fluid or not, because I only had BG in the tranny for maybe a couple hundred miles before the teardown.
