Exactly, who's to say our GT's aren't doing this to some small extent as well?
There is a fuse in the footwell on the passengers side in the v6's for sound enhancement, pulling it does quiet it down on the V6, I wonder if the v8 has the same fuse.

But what would be really great is having the sports mode exhaust all the time without having to go into sport mode. :D

BTW how does anyone feel about the fin/gills by the headlights being off during the day, and only come on with parking lights or night time and being off the rest of the time? Just a thought that whizzed by my head.

I like to disassemble things.
That post showed up a day after mine. Things that make you go Hmmm.....? :D
On 8/11 I was busy all day, had a big family dinner, and jumped in the car with a friend in the evening and took a few photos. I posted up just before going to bed. The gentleman that did this with me has been working on this for a few months over in the F150 forums and he's been twisting my arm to get into my GT350 for almost as long. I now see that you posted this in the am on 8/11. I saw the link to this recently or I'd have never read the thread as I rarely get out of the GT350/transmission/wheel forums. So hmm indeed. Freak thing and great for the community as there is a lot of crossover here.

Keep up the good work.

There was a huge thread about it back when the cars came out. Every one was calling those the DRL's at the time and a lot of people wanted to turn them off. I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT:

Plenty of people in that thread wanted to turn them off.

I just watched a video about the GT350, and have to ask, in the video the guy driving and reviewing it shows a Digital Speedometer, Can you confirm you have this on the GT350? The review was on a 2016. This would be something we all here would want and wanted to know if you knew its location, or if its in the Tech pack you were speaking of?

Those are not truly DRLs, in Forscan DRLs are set to none, they are independant, because I can have Fogs, Signal lights, Low Beam or High Beam as DRLs along with the fins/gills.

So we could have the fogs and gills always on? I think I might like that.

Edit: Great work btw - thank you!

Yes you can, I tested it already, but turned them back to original, but now that I got the fogs not to shut off when signaling, I probably will turn them back on.

Now looking for the location to shut off the gills during the day and see how that looks.

Also re-visiting the Digital Speedo since I just saw that the 2016 GT350 does have it. Still dont know if its possible, but the GT350 having it stirs hope. Just trying to find the right block, Guessing its in the 720 block.

Well here is one I have been dying for, and it is with great pleasure with the help and direction of @DanMc85 In giving me a block location to look at, I have found it!

FOG LIGHT / TURN SIGNAL!

726-28-02 0000 0001 01xx Fogs On with Turn Signal

726-28-02 0000 0100 01xx Fogs Off with Turn Signal

(xx denotes checksum which changes automatically in Forscan)

This alone was well worth it. Thank you @DanMc85 !
You're welcome... I feel like i can read hex in my sleep haha

I have a 2016 Track Pack GT350 and it has the digital speedometer function as do the '15 and '17 models. It shows up centered on the gauge cluster when accessed. I used it on trips as it gives you an exact number quickly so you aren't guessing while glancing at the dial gauge. I can see why you'd want it if you didn't have it.

On the FORScan vehicle info log tab... what is your listed calibration and strategy loaded on your IPC?

Curious if they are the same as the guys without. Not going to be able to enable a gauge if it doesn't exist in the underlying firmware

Yes you can Neo :D

I left you a pm on the other forum DanMc85, About the gills and it lighting up.

And I pulled a vin of a GT350, to compare. Heading down to try it now. And I'll see if I can find that info you asked.

my thread :) I fucking hate DRLs, but have since gotten used to them. HOWEVER, I WOULD LOVE to have the option in the menu to enable/disable them at will (as it should be, configurable DRLs)

found my service cd for 2015 mustang.

looks like the same thing as gt350 thread has, unfortunately. also no details about each.

I have a feel a combo of the IPC and BCM would be able to have the configurable DRL option back in the menus.
