Hi all,
Long time lurker getting ready to install a Whipple stage 2, and don't opg/cs replacement at the same time. Ordered the MMR opg, and since car has 30k miles, I decided to order a new opg housing also. The new housing has new OEM gears in it, and when I opened the housing to swap the OEM with the MMR, it looked like the clearance between the inner and outer gears was tighter, so I measured, and the clearance between the inner and outer OEM is . 004", and the clearance on the MMR is . 011". Is this too much, or am I just overthinking it? I struggle with putting thoughts in to words, so I hope this makes sense.
I searched and read several threads on aftermarket opg's, but was unable to find a good answer, so I apologize if I missed something that is already posted.
