I went back through my notes.

In one brochure, Ford lists the GT PP car as having, "unique chassis tuning". The Mach 1 is listed as having, "unique Mach 1 chassis tuning".

Specific to the Mach 1, attached are some of the physical differences between the HP and base models.

Are the Magneride calibrations different? I think so, to take advantage of those specific spring rates.

I'd expect different calibrations for GT PP, Mach 1 base and Mach 1 HP.

So here is where I begin to question that there’s any difference in the magneride tuning is this Ford Performance kit, where they’re grouped together that includes the PP2 software that’s “not needed”. I believe yes the PP Mustang has different tuning, but I believe the Mach and Mach HP has the same and starting to believe the PP2 and GT350 share the same as well to the Mach. Therefore why all 4 of those cars don’t need that software to run those springs or sway bars, where as the GT PP does.

I can understand your reasoning and don't doubt your thoughts.

The "unique" phrasing used at the time could have come down to Marketing more than performance.

My thought is that the “unique” chassis tuning phrasing comes from the stiffer springs and solid rear sway bar. Especially because in the order guide they break down each part the handling package contains specifically, except the springs and rear sway bar, which is where they got cute and put that wording.

Would be cool if there’s a way to check this in forscan somehow?

So I did some research and the Mach 1 and Mach 1 HP both use magneride control module PN: LR3Z3C142A.

GT350 uses PN: KR3Z3C142A.

Needless to say Mach 1 and Mach 1 HP are the same, GT350 is not.

Why in some older threads do people say the non-HP and HP cars have different magneride calibrations, etc? The consensus I thought was is this is not the case and it’s merely bolt ons.
Ford Performance confirmed the Magneride tuning is the same. It adapts to different springs.

No. I was told by FP at Barrett Jackson that the Magnaride automatically adjusts to which ever sway bar and spring combo in both planes as long as the parts fall within the design range. Essentially, yes, the Magnaride is operating differen when different springs and sways are attached.

Be advised if you’re looking for a 2023, as far as I’m aware there’s 0 HP for sale, so you’re kinda stuck doing this. Think I’ll order everything and just have it sit in my closet as ornaments in case Ford gets silly and wants to stop manufacturing it ;)

Can someone share the part code of the center dash trim for Mach 1 HP?
I want to get my European spec non-hp mach 1 to the US spec M1. So far I managed finding most of the hardware meaningful stuff, or better than the HP Stock, but the dash trim and gauges I can't figure out the correct part number. Honestly, I saw there are gauges showing oil temp and oil pressure, which are much more meaningful on a track focused NA car, than "boost"....

I have confirmed that Mach 1 HP has a different EPAS. Doesn’t seem anybody has done that before so sharing that.

I ran my vin 2023 Mach and a 2023 Mach HP vin identical specs into the Ford Parts website, then realized the difference in part numbers, I then ran it by @LevittownFordParts and he confirmed they are different.

The assist levels probably needed to be adjusted to tune the same characteristics while considering the larger contact patch, rotational mass, weight and increased resistance to steering input. Similar to the reasoning behind the spring changeout.

IMO it stops me from how much I wanna touch with mine. Completely changes my plans really. I’ll likely get wheels and tires and call it a day, rather than get crazy with swapping springs, sway bar, etc etc from the HP. I’d rather keep it all original and have better resale.
