If you really want a brake upgrade this is @PBM457 beautiful Mach. This car has the M-2300-Y set up from Ford Performance.
The only thing is you cannot use the factory Mach 1 wheels, as they will not clear the front rotors. If you are daily driving, this is an expensive upgrade.

Does anyone have an answer to this, are our brakes just Brembo 6 piston front and single piston on the rear found on the Bullitt or GT PP pack? Nothing else different right?

Has anyone put an aftermarket brake kit on and noticed a good improvement?
Yes.

But they are red.

Rears are off the Explorer. Truck brakes.

Down side/Up side is you have to run 20 inch wheels. If you are daily driving, this is an expensive upgrade.
They're GT350 brakes, most definitely do not need 20" wheels.

According to the guy who installed them, the front brakes in that package will not clear the factory HP wheels.

The kit has rotors and calipers from the GT350, which increases the rotor size in the front from the stock Mach 1 , 15 to 15.5 and the rears from 13 to 15 inches. You probably could use a 19 inch with a different offset, but factory wheels are a no go with this kit.

15-inch rotors from the factory in a regular production sports car was completely unthinkable just a few short years ago, and now some of us are talking about it like it's nothing because we've gotten used to it, hah. Hell, the rear rotors in the Mach 1 are as big as the fronts on many sports cars (albeit usually lighter ones). You can happily buy aftermarket BBKs for many cars that aren't even as big as the OEM fronts on ours.

These brakes are heavy duty. Unless you become a track junkie with slicks all around, odds are you won't be pushing the limits of these rotors or calipers anytime soon. That's part of what I love about Stang performance trims.

That's great, but before making those claims, someone should have checked what diameter wheels GT350s come with....

My current Brembos are the best brakes I have had since my old '79 930 Turbo Porsche.

Those brakes were on the 917 race cars in 1970.

Let's face it. For the street it becomes a boutique item.

And that's cool. If you got the bucks to do it.

I really wasn't making claims, only trying to share an upgrade from one of the members. I edited my original post as to not send false information.

I know it probably was whoever you quoted. Anyway, 19" fit over those, just not all of them.
