Look at Barrett-Jackson, replicas and fakes can bring in more than the real thing. No one cares as long as the person buying knows what it is.

You may find an outlying example of this here and there but generally this is way far from accurate, by definition.

Everyone likes to feel special. If tires, wheels and accessories do that for someone, who am I to judge. Much of the value of this site is based on exactly that, but when the definition of “special” becomes one of where the screw was turned when the part(s) were added, then it becomes silly.
