Cortex Toe Links installed today in prep for tomorrows alignment. Had I better researched I would’ve installed the Ford spherical bearings on the knuckle, I didn’t realize the cars had rubber bushing in this location. I used the supplied shim to account with the width difference. I’m dropping the car off for its alignment tomorrow-and also asking if they can reseat the passenger front dustboot retainer/dust seal I evidently knocked off when doing the springs. Doh!

ARP extended wheel studs installed so I can run 19x11’s on all 4 corners with 25mm spacers up front. Winning Formula completed the alignment today, spec’s attached. AAD rear camber arms are why rear camber is slightly different side to side. 305/30/19 RT660’s on order. Tires are due in maybe late next week and install the following week.

Was there any paint damage such as peeling under the original spoiler?

Also, I’m a bit confused. The handling package has different suspension components? That’s not listed under the package details on Fords website.

Zero paint damage.

Ford’s website is kind of ambiguous, the suspension hard part differences are referred to as suspension tuning.

Handling package is literally:
GT350(late)/GT500 spoiler with gurney flap painted magnetic
Lower level front splitter
Front wheel opening moulding
Rear tire spats
Stiffer front springs
Front adjustable strut mounts
Stiffer rear springs
EDIT: Stiffer rear sway bar

And obviously bigger wheels and tires. Unfortunately many YouTubers keep regurgitating bad information with respect to the handling package.

Also, 305/30 front and 315/30 rear on 10.5"/11" rims, adjustable camber plates, drive height is 3/4" lower, rear sway bar is solid vs hollow (stiffer), magnaride programming optimized for suspension and tires, and slightly different AdvanceTrac parameters.

The camber plates I mentioned by their Ford terminology of adjustable strut mounts. I have the soild rear sway bar installed but left it out of the list. I think the ride height is mostly due to tire diameter-I'm not noticing a real drop with HP parts. There is about a 1.25" difference in OD in the rear tires and a little over 3/4" OD on the front tires between the two.

19x11 305/30/19 RT-660 track setup on all 4 corners. 19x11 SVE SP2’s @ 50mm offset, ARP studs and OP Mustang 25mm spacer up front. OP mustang racing lug nuts. It drives mean with the big tires and alignment, I’m going to have to shake off 15 years of cobwebs. What’s funny to note is this setup fits better than the factory HP setup with less poke. The HP lip molding and Rokblokz in PP2 size provide perfect coverage.

That was from washing the car an hour prior…. Gone once I got out of the neighborhood.

Got a little bit of time today during our maintenance outage at work (just 3 more weeks of long hours) and did some first basic add-ons.


Installed:

Ford GT500 spoiler w/Gurney flap
  • Heat gun and 20# fishing line to remove
  • heat gun and fingers to remove double sided tape
  • Denatured alcohol to remove adhesive residue
  • Polished with 3D one
  • Final wipe down with denatured alcohol x3, heated with heat gun and installed
  • Will polish spoiler and gurney flap tomrrow and coat w/Gtechniq CSL
Spare tire and jack kit
  • easy install, used microfibers to deaden any noise from jack
Trunk liner from Husky
  • decent fit-will improve as it heats up, trimmed for subwoofer
Steeda hood strut kit
  • okay, but one hood strut didn't fit well to lower bracket
  • Really could use glue in my opinion on upper part of top mount-does want to rotate with single stud, I torqued lightly after seeing how many broke the stud.
Steeda jacking rails
  • Nice fit
  • removed seam sealer at front both sides to sit flat
  • Comes with 8, new chinese bolts, has you remove 6 OEM bolts
  • I reused OEM bolts with new loctite and used only two of the bolts supplied
Design labs radiator plate
  • Nice, will see how it holds up to scratches and marring
Silcone license plate frame
  • I like it and it won't allow the plate to scratch the paint
I'm about to switch out my spoiler as well. Where there just the two bolts?

I'm about to switch out my spoiler as well. Where there just the two bolts?
There are 4 studs total. I didn’t torque them, I just did them by feel.

Ok so I need to remove the underside on the trunk lid to get to them. Any tips on removing the clips and two rubber bumper stops?

Ok so I need to remove the underside on the trunk lid to get to them. Any tips on removing the clips and two rubber bumper stops?
The rubber bump stops unscrew as I recall and a trim removal tool helps with the plastic clips and rivets all over the car. It yes the trunk liner has to be removed for the middle two.
