I can not for the love of god himself get these spline bolts to come out, i am beyond frustated and just soaked them in some pb blaster and came inside to relax for a few minutes. Ive hit them so many times that im nearly flattening the back of the nut. Any tips please??
I did this yesterday. The first 3 came out no problem. The fourth went to war with me. I hit it with PB Blaster and another 1000 hits with a baby 3lb. sledge it came out. But the nut was beat to hell and worked with it on a grinder. They went back in without issue. H&R springs and sway bar are on the money!! :)

I'm going to save you a lot of time and frustration,,,,,, same prob last week. The bolts are splined so they won't turn. Get a air hammer with a punch end. Put nut abut half way on bolt and give it a go. Mine popped right out with it. I did use my free hand around punch as for it not to jump off to hit something else,

These bolts were an absolute C--- to get out.

- I used a 5lb(2kg) hammer, peice of pipe & a 10kg steel weight behind the bolt to take the shock in situ.

- Heat

-A 21 yr old body builder to swing the hammer, F--- they took some moving, Id say 20 big hits each.

-There was no sign of corrosion holding them in?

Wished I,d read this part of the post before i had a crack.!
The Air hammer would have been perfect.

Why FORD didnt put a $5 camber bolt on each side of the front end is beyond me.

As you’ve noted, they’re secure. Theres a good reason to use splined bolts in that location. If you’ve ever had a nut back off while driving, the splined bolts hold the suspension together. BTDT, no joke. With a camber bolt, the car would probably be in a ditch.

Trick is to use impact on the bolt head while hitting end with 5lb sledge they come out effortlessly.

Alternatively with just spin the bolt with impact until the splines bore the strut bolt hole out :cwl:

No regular impact will spin the spline to bore it out just need the vibrations to assist with the 5 lb sledge...
