You shouldn't have to scan the door. This would be a pretty simple exercise in CAD. For production, you could water jet or laser cut aluminum plate and then a quick bend on the brake and it'd be done. Hard coat anodize or powder coat and it'd be ready for service.
September 2020...
Come get your new Caliperfexion aluminum, powder-coated oil filter door. Shave an ounce of the total weight of your belly pan. Smoother surface will decrease aerodynamic resistance. Supplies are limited.

I like to disassemble things.
I lol'd.

The issue is, as much as there is interest in this thread, sales would be rather small which raises the cost and then drives people away. If there was a way to get everybody to somehow lose theirs then this would indeed be a plausible exercise.

I dropped off the access door to the 3D printer company today. They're using a high quality resin with durability similar to the OEM version. I'm having them make me a prototype which should be ready around Tuesday of next week. I'll have an idea of what it will look like when they're done and will post pictures.

Prototype is back from print. Pictures of the OEM Part and the prototype are attached. Fit is perfect and the edges are actually cleaner/smoother than the OEM part. Surfaces came are a little rough but I am told when manufactured in bulk this becomes less of an issue. Part including the OEM mounting hardware (bolt) and shipping is $65. Fewest I can get manufactured at one time is 10. If interested PM me your name & address and I'll send info on where to send payment.

While the first batch is going to be plain, does anyone have interest in seeing these with a custom logo that looks the GT350 fender badge or the Cobra? How about "Warning: Torque Filter to 18ft/lbs" message so the lube techs don't create a mess like this one from filters backing out?

I won't likely change things at this point, but wanted to gauge folks for general interest.

Why not? Throw it in there. Would be cool if it could be in red text too.

Or just change your own oil. Why trust anyone to do the one thing that can destroy your engine. Send your car in for anything else, but change your own oil. If you don't know how, learn.

You know as soon as you wrote that, many folks thought, “What!?!? There’s gonna be a better one?”
