This was very helpful! Thank you for the info. I've been reading the "Lets talk about oil" thread and Amsoil looks to be about as good as it gets
No problem. Whatever you decide to use, make sure it complies with spec WSS-M2C931-B. I took a quick look at the amsoil site and didn't find that exact spec for the GT350, just a WSS-M2C931-C spec as SHIFT pointed out. I dont know if the C spec covers the B spec, but do your own research and make sure.

If you can contact the dealer your purchased from and see if they will sell it to you at cost. Elk Grove Ford is selling me my parts at cost +10%. Filers come out to $15.xx and oil is $7.xx a quart.

As others have said: Amsoil 5w-50 + Motorcraft filter FTW.
Love M1, but not for this car.

Why not for this car? I'm not going to be pushing the car to what some members are and maybe 1 track day a year. Also, I change my oil every 3k miles

How are you DIY oil change dudes getting your car up in the air? Jack/Stands, ramps or what? I've been eyeing some race ramps. Will those get it high enough to do the oil change? If so, please provide a link to the model that is compatible with the GT350.

Gracias.

You guys do know that keeping detailed service records increases the resale value? Especially if you use it as a trade-in in the future

My low profile jack can get to the factory jack points fine. If yours is a bit taller usually driving onto a 2x6 gets it high enough (conversely you can use the RR mini ramps). I dont like using ramps alone since a lot of the time im pulling a wheel off.

You can keep a personal service log, document date, mileage, type of service and keep all the receipts. However trading in a car is typically not the best way to recoup the most $$.

I see on Amazon there are the one and two piece 56" race ramps. Do the two piece offer any advantage? I assume that the GT350 fascia/splitter will clear the ramps as you drive up on to them?

Thanks for the info.

I got 3 filters at Rock Auto for about $45 and 30 quarts of oil at Napa for $200.
