Long tube headers on long drives

Just got some kooks catless longtube headers just wondering how would it do in long drives about 6-8 hours would the long tubes red hot or would it he just fine

Why would they be red hot? Are you going 170mph the whole time?
No lol my dad said it could do this and and they and if it get to hot the wires can burn if I dive 6-8 hours I just what to show him it's going to be fine and that noting is going to happen lol

I’ve driven two 13 hour stretches with an 8 hour break in between and absolutely no problems at all. Let it bark and enjoy the ride.

If anything, I would expect them to be less hot than the stock headers. Perhaps someone with better understanding of flow dynamics and metallurgy could chime in.

His dads talking about older gen cars where there were plug wires between header ports, stuff like that. The headers get hot when driven harder but youd have to sit at redline for a while to get red hot. Electronics wise and every other way wise itl be fine for any amount normal driving

What wires? And why would headers get any hotter than OEM exhaust manifolds?

Tell yo dad it's not 1975 anymore.

lol. How old is your dad? Tell him it's not a '56 Chevy Five Window with a big block, 4 speed, and a 5:12 rear gear. Hell, even then, if that was done right, you wouldn't get the header heat soak in the footwell. Good ole pops. He's just got your best interests in mind.
