Light weight battery?

Yes, weight reduction should be based on not compromising usability. I don't want to come out of my work with a flat battery because I want to save 20 lbs.
Although, 15lbs weight reduction per wheel will give you much bigger effect in lightness.

Yet it will be costly. Which was the original point you were trying to make......I think??? I don't know what Bad experience you'd had with batteries but you can litterly cut battery weight in half of the stocker and still be fine.

It may not be for every one, but just relocating the stock battery to the trunk helps too. Its not a weight reduction but it changes the front to back weight ratio in a car.

the initial link is NSFW but I used these guys for car audio in my previous car. before you get upset because its an AGM sealed battery, just know that I used it in Houston Texas heat for over 2 years, so yes it will not burst, and for whatever reason if it does they will replace it.

They make good batteries especially for their cheaper price point then some others.

I tested it, and it started the car without a problem. I will install on Saturday.

Lolz, I was going to recommend the Shorai.
I used them in karts for years. Despite the vibrations through the chassis, wet weather, crashes etc etc they never, ever let me down.
Fantastic batteries.

Ive used lightweight batteries on a couple different cars - Batcat, Braille... In retrospect it was not worth it. (hassle, and messed up one alternator)

At this point I'd prefer to keep a OEM rated battery, relocated to the trunk. I'd be happy as heck if I could save 5 lbs overall after the extra cable weight.
