With these modern, intelligent systems it's always a good idea to use a battery that's as close as possible to the original specifications. That's what the charging strategy of the BMS is best optimized for.
Installing a different kind of battery, or one of a vastly different capacity, will require updates to the BCM configuration using ForScan. Normally this wouldn't be a major issue, but in this case there's catch. The battery settings are tricky and don't always work - meaning, there's a risk that the codes you find on the internet in various spreadsheets won't do what you expect on one particular vehicle or another. Whether they work or not is a toss-up. It's best to stay within the original spec if possible.

Whatever has the longest replacement warranty. Batteries are trash these days. Might as well get two+ for the price of one.
