I know we are in different times and tech. I put 100,000 miles+ on my 5.0 with 4;30s ran a 275/60 on the street. 23 mpg when I drove nice. 11.60s any night that I went to the track. At the end I was running 10.7s @ 128 and still decent on the street with the 4:30s lol.
I asked the dealer about a converter voiding warrantee while they install the supercharger. They asked me to call Roush, the Roush guy flipped his chair! OMG!! your going to drag race? That voids warrantee!!! So no dealer install for me, if I will not have warrantee why waist the money at the...
I finally have a need for a lap top. So I may as well get one that will suite both of my wants. If a guy wanted to tinker with tuning on a S-550, what would be a good choice of lap top? Any one of them will cover my other need. Which will be checking data logs off of a SD card for another toy.
I got the exhaust from a friend that needed a truck more than his car, but yes he made a big emphasis on doing the converter at the same time. I agree 100%. It will probably be a 5C. If I play my cards right I will have axles and driveshaft at that time too. One trip under the car would be great...
Getting close to grabbing a car. Will be a white 2017 auto. What would be best with a drag race state of mind? I will stay NA till 11.0s or high 10s. Then maybe FI. I do have SW headers, X pipe, Corsa off road cat back, a set of 5 star rims with MTs on them for the track, and a CAI ( don't...
I ordered one header flange from OBX it was the biggest POS I ever purchased. The bolt holes were so bad I had to weld them up and re drill them. It was not for Mustang.
Most all of us will never stop improving on what we have. Why not do the motor first, then you have a substantial gain over a "bolt the blower on" car when you drop one on yours. That is my way of thinking.
Besides that, I port heads and I always push that effort. I just done a set of Harley...
