I think its pretty funny that Ford cannot seem to put together an ECU Tune (despite promising one since what December 2014?) yet all these aftermarket tuners can get you a revision to your custom tune within hours. I somewhat understand why they cant, liability and such, but watching them try is sorta like watching a group of monkeys try to get frisky with a football.

What do they mean software delivery system? They told me everything was finished except this delivery system. Do they mean the ProCal device? This is ridiculous, might have to see if I can get cancel my preorder I already paid for if they keep this crap up.

I just did a live chat with one of their techs and he is saying at least two weeks. The delivery system is a laptop + OBD II system of their own it seems. The tune is written and ready, but they say there are glitches in the delivery.

Not to call this live chat tech a liar at all, but with all the moving back of dates etc I would not rely on any posted date so far no matter where you find it.

Also, interesting info: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A FORD DEALER INSTALL THIS SYSTEM TO OBTAIN THE WARRANTY. Any ASE certified tech can perform these installs, then you or the tech much submit the paperwork to activate the warranty.

I'm guessing the EB tune is not going to be a big seller so they have little incentive to push it out. Ford's tune has to be 50 state compliant and meet internal specs for engine durability. After the VW thing, the EPA has clamped down hard on this stuff. Pretty sure no custom tune is EPA compliant and engine durability is not something a tuner can even begin to speak to except anecdotally. The fact that it has taken so long tells me that they know something the tuners don't. In fact, I'm sure they know things about their own engine that the tuners don't.

Ford also has a lot to lose if people go overboard with driving habits and speed, whereas your $150 tune by email dude most certainly has no real risk by comparison and isn't going to eat any losses you incur that could be tune related.

They should've included an intercooler in the package and not a silly CAI. The intake is the least bottleneck imo. Just put a green filter in and be done with it. Whereas the intercooler is a piece of shit... Those torque numbers are probably gone after one hard pull with the stock IC.

I think the torque on the low end is decent, inline with what we've seen from just about every other canned tune. The part I thought was impressive was the 100 hp gain @ 6000 RPMs. It would still be nice to actually see a dyno graph to get the full performance picture but it sounds like that will get rid of that anemic top end. Like others, I'm still surprised they didn't make a new FMIC part of the kit. I'm sure it's not a problem, they'll have it pulling tons of timing as the CAT goes up to protect. When it's cool it'll run, when it's warm... well... I also like that they included performance shifting calibration for the autos. Even with the tune, there's no way the stock shift points were optimal.

Probably don't even need the CAI except for 6K+ rpm. And honestly, I just don't drive my car like that. I do like the low end torque, though.

Chiming in here. Long time follower, first time poster. I've been talking with my local Ford dealership in Saint Louis, MO for the last couple of days to verify this tune pack was available. As of this afternoon, I have completed purchase of the kit. They say it is still 1 week out until the dealerships can get the hardware, due to some last minute configurations by Ford Performance. Then another 4 -10 days for delivery to the dealership for install. I am scheduled for an end of the month install on my stock 2015 Ecoboost.

I can provide first impressions if anyone is interested later this month.

Wishing you luck. I received an email from Levittown with an attachment that said "ETA Oct 16" (I also pre-ordered). I told them based on FP's track record, I seriously doubt Ford would meet that date. It is what it is.

Its like walking into a Verizon store asking about the new smartphone that's supposed to come out. They have no idea of its existence until their partners release it to them. Highly doubt any of the workers do any outside research on this information either. Same thing with dealers. You can just buy it from CJPP or any other recognized ford performance vendor and any ford dealership can install it.
