It is available but evidently went on Back Order Quickly. I know I can get it if needed. Have to get on my warehouses waiting list. Generally 10 Days to 2 weeks away
He is somewhat correct. There is no specific tooling we have that tells exactly what the problem is. It is not uncommon for a Ford Tech to submit to our hotline to discuss with an Engineer.
This is a huge issue in the industry. Intermittent concerns of any type cost everyone monies. Techs spend time chasing an issue that there is no answer for at that point. Customer gets frustrated.
I am finally getting over my devastation of loosing a palm prawn from a tree in my front yard. Just kidding. Hope anyone that was damaged recovers quickly!
Seems odd. I am an Assistant Service Manager at Autonation of fort Lauderdale and we do a tremendous amount of Performance work here also. Seems like the Dealership was either afraid of it or just did not want to make money. Realizing you are in Pt Saint Lucie. Jarrod will get you situated...
Does not hurt to get it looked at. The load that is applied to the Pinion Bearings when Drag Racing can cause an audible noise. Have seen it before. Almost like the Bearing gets shocked and makes noise.
Any dealer should be able to assist you. Don't be afraid to ask if they have someone that knows the specific procedure for the oil change. The Oil Filter has a Specific torque ratio when installed. If not done properly, it can vibrate itself off after some time.
Depends on the dealer. Here at the one I work at, We do a fair share of them. We pride ourselves on CSI. Having a customer come back for absolutely no reason a 2nd or 3rd time just lessens your opportunity for a perfect survey.
